  I added some android studio nimview sample project https://github.com/marcomq/nimview/tree/main/examples/android It would use HTML/JS/CSS as frontend. Unfortunately - no tutorial yet.

  As this question pops up now and again, I'll list some of the most recent working links here as follows:

  1. Interest for me started with this thread as per my post there.
  2. With information gathered there, I was able to put together some working repo's such as this very basic example, which I recently adjusted to work again with recent versions of Nim.
  3. Starting from that base, I was able to extend the examples to a basic example with call backs and an Android primes benchmark, although these last two need to be updated as per the pending changes to the first basic example repo.
  4. This last is a complete app, but isn't really production ready as to automatically adjusting for a wide range of screen formats such as large tablets as it was just a vehicle to be able to test the speed of Nim code running on various Android SoC's. Also, it uses the default Android Studio app icon ;-)
  5. The README.md file on the last is fairly complete as to how to build it as far as tutorials go, and there is communication between the UI as to button clicks, etc to Nim code and from Nim code back to the UI as to updating the UI contents.
  6. The more current thread on the status of this is likely this one...
  7. The purpose of the Andoid SoE benchmark was to answer a Quora question - sieving primes to 2 billion in under a second, which shows that one doesn't need a desktop in order to do this but can do it on a very low-end smartphone as per my answer there...
