Can someone with more experience (probably @Araq) take a look at NimEdit and either make it compilable or give hints of what needs to be changed in order to make it compile and run?

I've looked into this a couple of months ago and NimEdit uses the compiler as an API everywhere for its scripting and plugin engine. I think I got it to compile again but then it crashed mysteriously at startup and I didn't investigate. Might be something really simple.

Why do you need NimEdit so badly ? I guess moe, VSCode or vim/neovim works better and will be maintained more often. Did NimEdit had special features ?

Because it:
- is written in Nim
- is lightweight
- is SDL2 based
- I like the concept
- looks nice to me
