  Here is the first release candidate for Nim 1.6.8, available from our nightly builds:

  https://github.com/nim-lang/nightlies/releases/tag/2022-09-09-version-1-6-ece219de2faa414915f42c1e0910a19645a94e5e

  If you're using Choosenim, you should be able to get this RC by doing:

  
  choosenim "#version-1-6"
  choosenim update "#version-1-6"
  Run

  @miran, it is necessary to include this PR. Without it version 1.6.8 will be broken for vcc and clangcl on Windows.
