  one line of code "import strscans" results with error. What am I missing? Is it a bug?

  bummer yes, it works fine in terminal.

  So the issue is related Visual Studio Code....

  That error is because you named your module exactly the same as the stdlib one - strscans, so either rename your module or import as import std/strscans

  I can see how that clashes, but Fire reported it worked fine on his Mac and in the terminal it worked too, how is that possible?

  "in terminal" probably means inim or nim secret

  as for Fire, he probably didn't notice the filename and used a different one, since the topic starter didn't focus the issue as being related to the filename
