I happily found somewhere in this forum the {.hint[XDeclaredButNotUsed]:off.} pragma which I strongly prefer over a command line switch (or nim.cfg).

Funny thing: With some source files it seems to work, with others not. Probably just me being dumb.

Any helpful advice?

No, unfortunately I can't. But I can tell you that I tried putting it before and after comments and imports; makes no difference. About the only vague clue I have to offer is that I noticed it in a project with lots of [.importc.} procs. passC and passL pragmas though seem to not make a difference.

That's why I didn't use push pop but plain .hint[...]:off

And I does work. Sometimes. And sometimes not.
