317 :: Quicklook plugin for reST files implemented in Nimrod

  I've released at https://github.com/gradha/quicklook-rest-with-nimrod the first version of a MacOSX Quick Look plugin to render .rst|.rest files using Nimrod's reST support. The project includes pregenerated C sources, so you only need Xcode to compile and install it.

  Version 0.4.0 has been released, the changes were:

  • Added support for .nim files.
  • Added external API to change templates at runtime.
  • Updated git-flow notice about stable branch.

  From the description it doesn't sound like it's equivalent, the rst file would be displayed as file icons you are meant to interact in a folder like view. The thing is more like Gloobus preview (see the video). Maybe a preview pane?

  Presumably all that has to be done is hook an existing preview pane example and figure out how to replace the sourceHtml var with stuff generated by safe_rst_file_to_html. And figure out how to call nimrod code from C# of course.

  Version 0.4.6 of quicklook-rest-with-nim was released. Changes since 0.4.4:

  • Moved rester module into lazy_rest babel package. The usage of lazy_rest brings several improvements, with the most important being:
    • Avoid hanging on infinite recursive include directive.
    • Improved rendering of line numbered source blocks.
  • Updated Nimrod references to Nim.
  • Upgraded nakefile with bb_nake.
  • Added note about Yosemite problems.

  quicklook-rest-with-nim has been marked as dead. There were no pending changes in development, so version 0.4.6 will be the last release.
