I remember a showcase (or a mention?) of a forum project with a frontend similar to myBB or phpBB written in Nim and posted in here, however I cannot find it again for the life of me. I want to self host a couple of things (more details later this weekend hopefully, on another post), and one of these is a small forum.
I could and would use nimforum however it is due some much needed love. For example, I sent an MR to update the docker from nim to nim2 in Dec 2025, which hasn't been updated, despite being +9 -7 LOC changes. Obviously nobody is mandated to keep up with any such MRs, nimforum works pretty well anyways, and I assume this instance runs on bare metal rather than a container anyway. Having said that, I wouldn't mind adopting the project.
tldr; I can't remember an old-school forum project presented here, and I want to use either that or nimforum, but nimforum is sort-of-unmaintained, but I don't mind maintaining it.
Wouldn't mind someone maintaining the project either. At the moment I'm half-maintaining it, but its pretty stable and I don't have time for new features so it doesn't amount to much (last commit was a bit over a year ago).
I can still deploy the main instance when new versions are ready.
