  Hello everyone,

  I am a polyglot developer who recently discovered the brilliant Nim language. Nothing better than being part of the community to learn more about the language. I realized that there was no community in G+ on language and decided to create it in order to make Nim community grow.

  I think the main goal is not to fragment the community across various forums. This may be the reason that "hey I made some new forum for Nim", may be not welcome. But if it is just another place to list Nim which will bring more attention to Nim's main site and official forum, then okay.

  @ono, I understand your concern and it was exactly the same concern I had before creating a community in G+, but thought the community expansion goal and no longer a place to repeat information about Nim language. The main focus is to reach more people for Nim community.

  I wonder, in the opinion of you, what are the best people to moderate Nim community in G+? I looked by Andreas Rumpf in G+, but not found it.

  So we now have this forum, the mailing list, the github tracker, the IRC and now this what you call G+. (And, there also is StackOverflow, and pages like reddit, hacker news and more.) Sorry, I have not really a feeling what is for what. I was already criticited for asking a question smelling like a bug in the forum instead on github tracker, and from another user because I used a not really smart subject for a problem posted in this forum. Generally I prefer mailing lists, but the Nim list is called developer list I think, and I am not really a Nim developer. Generally, for low volume discussion, distribution on many channels is not really a good decision, for example for GTK we have gtk-list, gtk-app-devel-list and at least one forum. Each with low traffic and bad chances to get qualified reply. GTK may be a bad example, because some people do not like it, but I know other examples also.

  But G+ has a much lower eyeball count than Facebook or Twitter...

  There's a "Nim programming language" Page on Facebook, although not much is being done with it.

  I post a lot about Nim on my Copyfree FB Page - hope you'll share! ;)

  My Copyfree page has more Nim-related posts than the official Nim page does. :-P

  I recommend (auto?)sharing everything posted on Reddit r/nim to FB, G+, and Twitter.
