Hello.

I think I read that the first version of Nim was made with Lazarus Free Pascal. I visited your website and was pleasantly surprised to see that you have your own IDE and a RAD system connected to the source code of the application being made. This is appealing, although these days I have spent some time investigating Nim and I have been amazed by the potential of this language.

Could an IDE and RAD for Nim be in the pipeline?

I wrote a little project which can convert ui layout file created by https://aardio.com/ into https://github.com/khchen/wNim code.

The bad news are

https://aardio.com/ is in Chinese, and there are some false virus reports on it. Why I choose it? Because it is small and supplies a drag-n-drop GUI designer.

https://github.com/khchen/wNim works on windows only. Why I choose it? Because I have used wxPython for some projects, while https://khchen.github.io/wNim/wNim.html gives me familiar sense.

I have not released my project yet. Why? Because I am using http://nicegui.io/ for some of my current projects, which enables me develop pretty web ui with very little code. I really enjoy coding in http://nicegui.io/. However there is no plan to port http://nicegui.io/ to nimlang as https://github.com/zauberzeug/nicegui/discussions/1206 says, what a pity.

There are a couple UI systems already available in Nim, both WxWidgets and Gtk are available, along with many others. You also have higher-level wrappers like Owlkettle which makes these much easier to use in Nim.
