9911 :: Does "--compileOnly" with "Dead Code Elimination" work?

  Hi all,

  When building for baremetal or RTOS with "--compileOnly" and compiling from C to gcc, etc., is the "dead code elimination" feature that is now enabled by default effective? Or do I need to specify "-flto" in the linker flags?

  It is effective but only deals with Nim code, not with the C library's bloat so -flto should help with that.
