  Here is the second release candidate for Nim 1.6.10, available from our nightly builds:

  https://github.com/nim-lang/nightlies/releases/tag/2022-11-15-version-1-6-99528ee2952864c23fde63549a17951769a05be4

  If you're using Choosenim, you should be able to get this RC by doing:

  
  choosenim "#version-1-6"
  choosenim update "#version-1-6"
  Run

  This brings 7 new commits since RC1.

  The complete list of commits between 1.6.8 and this RC is available here.

  I need to try again and use choosenim on the Mac M1 so that is easy to switch versions. Did anyone succeed in having it work?

  It works great for me (although the choosenim upgrade step failed while trying to update nimsuggest because I had VSCode running). It is nice that using the incorrect -mm:orc switch fails with a much better error.

  Can we automate testing on Nimble libraries ? I have tested it on nim-lang/bigints. No bugs, no obvious speed regressions.

  My own tests, nimc is now compiled noticeable faster than before. But this is my perception using a very old computer. 20 minutes nimc + plus vs 15 now.

  Good to hear. I wonder if any of that is because of the on-going work on incremental compilation?

  It might be due to switch to ORC and some optimizations around the compiler memory usage
