9054 :: dynamic shared libs

  Hi,

  It is 3 times I wrote a nim web server with basic functions:

  • render pages, load the static part in a file, then replace some variables with dynamic content
  • trigger some function that the user asks when clicking some buttons on the web page or submitting form

  I'd like to do the web part once for all. Is it possible to load and use shared libs, such as dll on Windows, without knowing by advance the content of functions available in the dll. It could be fine if I can scan a folder with dll as plugin for my app. I can asking each dll wich with a known function which content does it have, then building a sort of available list of current available functions (sounds like Windows COM). I did such things in java long time and also using COM in Delphi but are they some ways to facilitate such work using NIM (I plan to do everything using NIM, no other language). I know how to do dll using NIM. But anything else that could facilitate this approach could be very useful. Any Idea?

  There is std/dynlib but it doesn't seem to have a way of listing all symbols in a library.
