Replit, a fairly well known online IDE, has a newsletter which it uses to update the community and draw attention to a programming language. This week, it featured Nim.
nice, thanks for sharing. what does it mean to be featured in the newsletter? I see the headings use Nim syntax and there is a link to create a new Replit (FYI it will come with 1.4.8), other than that I cannot see if it is used substantially in any way (drawing attention is fine, just wondering if there was something else I have not noticed).
Not sure if anyone is using Replit with Nim for anything, I have sometimes made some quick tests but I would like to try it a little bit more. It has an interesting demographic (is it true it is the tiktok of programming related platforms?). I think it has a lot of potential, if I understand correctly it is not only a playground on steroids (with IDE + full environment configuration, thanks to NixOs) but you should be able also to host stuff there with a server and for small public stuff it should be free. Would be very interested to hear from others who know more about it.
