I know it's keeping parity with previous surveys, but it would be great to have an "other" option for "What types of software do you develop?". I'm also surprised there's not a "gamedev" option as well since Nim is very well suited to this.

A note for the future: I was once told that submitting a direct link to HN with an intention of leading people to upvote is counterproductive, as their "voting ring detector" does trivially check the HTTP Referer header as one of its basic measures, invalidating upvotes coming through such a link.

That's good to know. I can understand the intention behind this feature of HN. Next time, I'll simply ask people to copy the link, open a new tab and paste it in the address bar.
