hello ^_^)/
friend suggested i post here.. hope it isn't breaking any rules or anything ^_^;
ive just set up nim.town (and nim.land); its purpose is to be a shared domain for nim projects, developers, organizations, etc...
instead of using user.github.io/project , you could use project.nim.town (or user.nim.town) and i think that might be a little neat to some
*.nim.town and *.nim.land domains are available! feel free to visit the website and read some there for a little more info :)
note: im not that much of a designer so i apologise for the website's looks
moigagoo: my bad! should be working now
Salient: excited to see you there!
I just want to say that these .nim.town domain are very useful. I use docs.nim.town all the time, much easier than the regular URL. Also, norm.nim.town looks dope.
So, if I may, I'd like to propose another alias: packages.nim.town → nimble.directory
Also, may I please have norman, loco, and moigagoo?
@lqdev im guessing you're the one who wanted hayago.nim.town? i have responded i think, have you checked your spam? if not showing up, i already have pointed hayago.nim.town toward your site! please follow steps 1, 2, and 3 here for it to work properly
and apologies for the late responses!.. email is definitely better to reach me than the forum
@moigagoo thank you! i can point packages.nim.town to nimble.directory, and i will point norman, loco, and moigagoo, too! thank you and apologies for the late responses!
Apologies for the late reply, I don't use the forum very often.
Yeah seems like your message tripped Gmail's spam detection, even though I was the one to start the conversation. Odd.
hey! ^_^)/
ive updated the site, and sort of re-done how it works
rather than sending me an email, ive set-up a github repository using github actions to do it sort of automated;
rather than sending me an email, just make a change in the dnsconfig.js file and make a pull request
the dnsconfig.js file should be easy enough to understand, but if you need help, you can read through the dnscontrol documentation or the dnscontrol documentation on cloudflare, which is the provider i use
if you've any questions or comments feel free to respond to this thread or send me an email or anything
hope this is useful for some
