even if you don't go on the nim forums too much, having a gravatar account is good because a lot of websites (such as github and koding (iirc)) use your gravatar

Thanks a lot! I already had a Gravatar account, but the email I used for registering here wasn't listed. Now that I've added it, should the update of the image be automatic? I logged out and in again, but nothing changed.

It should be automatic. It may take a while to update but it's more likely that you used a different email address to register.
