Hello people! I am a huge fan of nim but I think it lacks a first-level IDE support, in popular IDEs, like IntelliJ and Netbeans. It seems that there's nothing mentioned in the forum for Netbeans.
The good thing is that there are some recent posts about people working on these plugins in the forum here and here
On top of that, there is this feature request in IntelliJ's site here: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-15994
I'd suggest, anyone who's interested in Nim language, to upvote this issue (just in case we're lucky) or even better join forces to have a proper plugin. I myself am willing to help with this issue (and I do know Java language).
I'm not missing anything when using VSCode, and I'm reacious to infect my machine with JVM.
All tools are not for everyone. In my world it's the other way around, I am infecting my machine with Microsoft code :)
I'm just joking of course and having a unified IDE is a good alternative. It's just a matter of preference, I prefer working on a full IDE like IntelliJ instead of a buff editor, like VSCode. But it's always a matter of taste.
