I have discovered nimrod a few weeks ago and I find it interesting. Due to "logistical" issues, I cannot work with linux as often as I would like and I would need nimrod ecosystem in windows and, preferibly, with the main packages, libs and tools as a compressed file (where I would just need to add a path manually). I downloaded last nimrod release (0.9.4). Then I wanted aporia = many difficulties (fortunately araq provided his successful compilation). Then I wanted gtk2, but the installation was preferibly proposed via babel. Then I typed babel install gtk and some libraries (some ssl ones) where needed... In parallel, when I tried to upgrade babel to the last version, it suggesged to have, not the last nimrod release (0.9.4), but the development one (currently 0.9.5). This involved me to have git installed (yes, I know that this sounds obvious for a community that mainly operates using github, but you have to think that in some cases one cannot be allowed to use git). Then in GIT I had to avoid ssl because certificate was self contained...... ufff.. After all that, I had some compilation errors (don't remember now if in GTK or in babel :-> ! ) Sorry in advance. I know that I am complaining a lot and I could solve most of the issues (but not all). So I am asking for a wish, if possible. I understand that nimrod community is quite new and I would like to collaborate a little in the near future (although I am not a very good developer, but I try to be better every day). Also, I assume that nimrod community is making a lot of effort to stabilize all that. Again, I apologize if I my comments and suggestion are ennoying. I hope not. I would like to be a more brilliant developer and have more time to create my standalone folder with all the main functions working and self contained: nimrod + official packages + git + ssl + dll's +whatever necessary on windows. But for the moment I am spending a lot of time for it and probably for more expert people it is easier to prepare some stable packages with all that (even assuming that this "more stable" packages could be some months old in comparison to new basic releases). Thanks for any help
