Hi,
I tend to use the search often, so I don't ask a "FAQ". Unfortunately, at least in Firefox (56.0.2, 64-bit, Windows 10; it might be a browser specific problem), I cannot "back" into the search, after having clicked a result.
I'm assuming there are (at least) two options here:
I'm not sure if you knew that already or not.
Regardless, I am not able to replicate this issue on Firefox 56 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I tried replicating the issue both with the forum search and the documentation search. With both, the back button took me back to the results. This may be an issue specific to windows.
You could also open an issue here: https://github.com/nim-lang/website on the repository. I'm sure a pull request would be appreciated!
Interesting! So it's either specific to FF on Windows, or it's a local problem. Yes, I do know how to open a link in another tab, but if the issue really was "general", it would still be a "bug", in the sense that it's a "UX bug" for a website to break the back button, IMO.
I didn't know/didn't think of looking up, if the forum had it's own repo. But now I don't even know if it's a "real issue" or just some local problem.
I'm sure a pull request would be appreciated!
Probably, but I don't code websites (HTML + JS) ... I wouldn't really know where to start looking.
Could some of you who read this, tell me if it works for them? Like that, I would know if it's a "local issue"...
