I've been porting a Rust library to Nim and this language is simply awesome. Thank you very much to Andreas and to whatever contributor.
Before, I'd played with Go to create some system library but I finished bored of its rigid syntax and by generics lacking.
Rust is well designed (compared to C++) but when you need data structures like trees or graphs, it becomes very verbose and difficult to working with lifetimes there.
Now, using Nim, I'm very productive without loosing performance. I only hope that the community starts to grow up since I don't understand because it is so unknown or not as used like other new languages (Go, Rust, Swift).
Is there any Slack or Gitter channel?

I'm sure you meant just grow here.. :O)
For as much as I have seen, the percentage of "children" and trolls here is remarkably low. Which could actually change a little once the community grows.
