More and more I see languages like Rust being featured on sites like Hacker News. Furthermore, despite talking about Nim when I can, it always seems to be dismissed.
Is there any hope for Nim to get the recognition it deserves?
Build great things. Tools, libraries, servers, drivers, apps: anything. Write them clearly and expressively; carefully harnessing language features. Write them for speed. Write them for ease-of-use. Write wonderful documentation. Write them in Nim.
Don't worry. Others will take notice.
N.B. If a wonderful tool (Rails) can help an ordinary language (Ruby) take off, surely Nim can take off with something that's merely... good? Some more food for thought.
In my opinion, if there are companies providing long-term support, any language can survive. And if the companies are big ones, a bright future is secured.
Before that, just make more people like it and build a thriving community.
