Sorry, I don't give ETAs anymore. I'm too ashamed. However, you can count on 2-3 major releases every year.

Why too ashamed? There is nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone of us understands this is opensource software, there will be bugs and they will be fixed always.

2-3 major releases?

By the versioning scheme used for Nim I think they are "minor" releases by definition :-).

2-3 major would be v1.0.0 v2.0.0 v3.0.0 :-P

Anyway: The quality standards you set for "1.0" are pretty high and afais that is a moving target too. You can be proud of Nim and not giving an ETA is "wise" I guess!

Release early , release often strategy is better for most opensource projects. Minor point releases are good . That keep the users base bigger and interested. And please be proud of Nim. We really belive Nim is a game changer , like python did.
