For info. The 64 bit nim installer is currently being blocked by Windows Defender

The threat reported is

Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml

Having deleted the .choosenim, .nimble directories and purged nim references from my Path, choosenim stable --firstinstall (run in administrator terminal) is also refusing to install, presumably for the same reason.

See https://github.com/nim-lang/Nim/issues/17820 for a lot of discussion on that topic, Nim sometimes gets detected as a false-positive because of the people who use Nim to write malware, and AV vendors whose detection checks are too broad.
